The Armory Series is the latest realization of the Mapex hybrid shell concept. A fusion of Birch and Maple delivers the ultimate tonal expression, and the SONIClear(TM) bearing edge allows the drumhead to sit flat, bringing out the best response by optimizing the relationship between head and shell. The core of the development was to produce a drum kit fully loaded with features that make the drum kit optimized and playable out of the box: included Remo drumheads, revolutionized SONIClear™ bearing edges for optimized resonance and clarity, SONIClear™ Tom Tom suspension system restricting the transfer of energy to the stands and hardware, and further strengthens the body's natural resonance.
