The BEAM SOLO is a smart, compact headphone amplifier that makes it easy to play guitar wherever you are. Plug in your electric guitar, bass, or acoustic guitar and experience the feel of a real amplifier – completely silent to those around you.

BEAM Solo is built around the BEAM app, which acts as the hub of your practice setup. Here you get access to thousands of amplifiers, 30+ effects, backing tracks, video lessons, a tuner, and recording functionality. The app is, of course, free and works on both iOS and Android.

In addition to a broad catalog based on classic Blackstar amplifiers, Blackstar has also developed Ampton, where they’ve gathered the best vintage amps from their archive and recreated their unique sound. As if that weren’t enough, Beam Mini is also the first headphone amplifier capable of loading in NAM A2-captures directly into the unit. This collaboration with TONE3000 gives you access to a library of thousands of classic amplifiers, ranging from vintage 1950s combos to modern high-gain rigs.

To ensure the sound feels right, BEAM SOLO features unique “In The Room” technology, making it sound as if you’re standing next to a real amplifier in a room – not like a flat recording in headphones. Want a miked sound instead? Simply go into the app and choose a dynamic or condenser microphone. You can also switch from a 4x12 to a 1x12 cabinet while you’re at it – everything to shape the sound exactly the way you want it.

If you prefer not to use the BEAM app, you can access key functions directly from the unit, including gain, EQ, FX, volume, and sound selection. All of this is controlled via the large SpeedDial control and the Lightbeam display.

BEAM SOLO can also be used as an audio interface with your computer via USB-C. If you wish, you can also use the headphone output to record vocals at the same time as your guitar.
