The PRS Silver Sky Defender Limited Edition combines the award-winning Silver Sky platform with an exclusive colour collection inspired by some of the most iconic finishes from the Defender range. The result is a highly limited-edition model where classic design, modern precision and vintage-inspired playability come together.

Developed through the close collaboration between John Mayer and PRS, the Silver Sky was designed to capture the feel, response and tone of the most sought-after vintage guitars while delivering the reliability and build quality that define PRS instruments.

The alder body provides a balanced tone with a clear attack, rich midrange and open resonance. The bolt-on maple neck adds stability and fast response, while the rosewood fretboard contributes warmth and a natural playing feel. The 635JM-R neck profile is specifically designed to offer exceptional comfort across the entire fretboard, whether you're playing chords, rhythm parts or expressive lead lines.

The three PRS 635JM single-coil pickups deliver a full and dynamic voice inspired by classic vintage instruments. The tone is warm and articulate with an open high end that retains clarity and detail without becoming harsh or brittle. Combined with the traditional 5-way pickup selector, the guitar offers a wide range of inspiring sounds suitable for everything from blues and funk to pop, rock and modern studio productions.

For this limited edition series, the inspiration came from John Mayer’s own Defender in Arles Blue.
